Each kit includes a sheet of stainless steel pieces, which fold and lock together to create a miniature building. Included are step-by-step assembly instructions and a short building history, which is all packed into an attractive envelope making them a great little (easy-to-post!) souvenir/gift.
The Royal Albert Hall was built over 4 years and opened in 1871 by Queen Victoria. At the time, the roof was the largest unsupported dome in the world which required a ground breaking design to ensure the 338 tonnes of iron metal frame would support the 279 tonnes of glazing. Since opening, the world’s leading figures in music, dance, sport and politics have appeared on its stage and the Royal Albert Hall is deemed an important cultural institution and iconic London landmark.
